RI - Reading Inventory (AKA... Lexile Reading levels!)

Students have the opportunity to take RI tests a few times a year.  The reality is that you can do it anytime you want..  
It's a reading level test to see what level you read at and offers book suggestions.  We (teachers) hope that
students make steady progress on their reading skills and comprehension.  That is why students do this more than once! PROGRESS! More information is here at Lexile.com

To find books at YOUR reading level...

In our Library Software (Destiny)
​ Go to www.theolycenter.org. Click on Destiny (above)
  1. Click on Catalog
  2. Where it says "Reading Programs" chose Lexile.
  3. Put in your "Lexile Measure"  (A range will auto fill) 
  4. Hit Enter or Click on Title (at the top) and all our books in that range will appear. 
At lexile.com
  1. After you take your "Test" you get a list of suggestions based on your interests.  Use that list!
  2. If you do not have that list go back to www.lexile.com and put in your Lexile Measure, chose some interests and hit Submit.
  3. ​Use that list and check our library for books.
